The Tell-All Demon
Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003

If you are here to meet the demons, here are a few things you should know:

Keep your hands in the car at all times: Demons are not known for their sense of propriety.

Demon Mine: A Story Five-Parts runs backwards through the diary. In other words, the entry previous to this begins the story. If you get lost, go up and click on "older lies."

Demon Mine includes the sad but relatively explicit details of a failed menage a trois. If you are easily shocked by the sexual habits of demons, you should consider another route to demonhood.

The five part story is actually told in eight parts (or nine, depending on whether you count updates) in this order:

I. The Demon with Nothing
II. The Demon Who Neglects Her Honour, Her Affairs, Her Friends, Her State
III. The Demon of Confession, Shame and Judgment
IV. The Demon Who Knows Right from Wrong
V. The Demon Who Wants to Make It All Better
VI. An Incidental, Coincidental Demon Named Rebecca
VII. The Demon of Fiery Sadness
VIII. Coda: The Demon Who Tries to Live Your Life from The Inside Out and Yet Gains No Understanding
IX. Update: The Demon with Wounded Eyes

I won't bother to warn you not to feed the demons because it's likely that that is what you came here especially to do.

Just remember: The demons are here for your enjoyment. Treat them with respect and they'll break your heart. That's all they've taught me.

retreat or surrender
